Due to the double collar design this will also fit both of the smaller containers! So, don't make the mistake. I own both Blendtec and Vitamix blenders. Vitamix at home and restaurant. So I have extensive use of both.I love my vitamix and couldn't live without it. It's a workhorse! Now that I've owned this patented tamper for a couple weeks I can leave a review as I really have come to terms to appreciate a couple of the built-in features. But to save your time in research, lets figure out which containers it fits. This ONE STICK FITS MULTIPLE CONTAINERS, the Tall/ narrow 64 ounce container (the one that doesn't fit underneath the standard cupboard), the 48, AND the 32 ounces container. There is a built in collar to help it fit all 3 containers! Seems to good to be true, but it's not- I guess it was designed by a former Vitamix demonstrator who knew exactly what us Vitamix enthusiasts were missing! Just don't make the mistake thinking it will also fit the 64 low profile, it won't- it WILL NOT fit the low profile 64 ounce container. ( i have both). But the low-profile container is not as good as the tall/ narrow one any way. The only good thing about a low-profile container is that it fits underneath the cupboard. The tall/narrow 64 oz doesn't, but I like my tall/narrow container and a 48 oz, and 32 oz by far the best. So this fits all 3.Pros:-Stands on it's own so my counters don't get sticky, or, I don't have to grab the tamper out of my sink if I need to tamp out a air pocket quick.-Built-in taste-test scoop- I can't use this feature at my restaurant, but at home I use it all the time! Following the recipe book doesn't cut it for me because we all have different taste buds, even if you follow a recipe precisely. Some like sweet, some like less sweet. Some like salty, some like less salty. So following a recipe out of the book doesn't necessarily make it how YOU like it. That's why my vitamix bluetooth scale isn't used often as I thought I would- recipes are hit or miss. So here's the QUICK TIP: During my blending I will quickly taste whatever i'm making, smoothies, soups, etc and then I know EXACTLY how to adjust the blend before serving it! So I make it right every time! For example and a tip! If you are making soup and it's too salty, add water to dilute. If you're making a smoothie and the smoothie isn't sweet enough or is still gritty, blend longer to remove tiny seeds and also whatever sweetener you prefer (important for picky kids because you want it to taste good but you do not want to too much unnecessary sugars). Anyway, the taste-test scoop I would pay for even if it was the only feature!- It is much more sturdier than my original whiffle bat plastic tamper that originally came with my machine.-the end of this tamper blender stick fits the spout of my vitamix when pulling out thick shakes and etc.- This tamper DOES also fit the tamper holder if you already have one! But you don't have one, don't worry you don't even need a tamper holder anymore, since this tamper STANDS ON ITS OWN! Don't throw away your old tamper. I sold my original tamper with the tamper holder for twenty after using this. Lastly the same ergonomic handle is much easier to grip than the original vitamix while tamping. You don't have to crank your elbow up so high. The ergonomic handle is a nice feature I wasn't expecting.Cons:- I wish they'd come out with a stick that fits all 4 containers including the low profile container. Just wishful thinking.I will update it in a couple months of usage
