I've owned a Vitamix blender 5200 for years with no problems. I've used it for making smoothies, sauces and even chunky salsas (pulse on and off 5 or 6 times). It is easy to clean and rust free. Very simple to use.The blender came with a 64 oz. container and does not fit under my standard sized counter. If I don't keep an appliance on my counter, I am less likely to lug it out to use, so I sat the motor unit and the container next to each other on the counter. Not a clean look.I went to the the product site and noticed I could purchase smaller containers. Decided to check Amazon and was surprised to find it for a little less. I ordered it and it came the next day! Now, I can keep the unit intact on my counter under the cabinet. The 48 oz. is a perfect size for everyday use and comes with a tamper. Note: Blender with 48 oz. container won't fit under the cabinet with the tamper attached to the lid, but does fit with the lid and cap in place. Very happy with my purchase:)
