This isn't a heavy duty blender, but that isn't what it is meant for. What is it intended for is a quick, in the glass or small bowl blender that quickly gets the job done. So, if I were doing a great deal of baking or wanted to handle a large quantity of stuff, I would get a hamilton beach professional or something like that. But, since I needed something to mix the eggs for my omelets or mix up a couple of drinks, this is what I bought and it has been perfect for my needs, and my omelets haven't been fluffier.
