Description
Hamilton Beach Blenders are known worldwide for making smooth and delicious blended drinks. Over the years, people have relied on Hamilton Beach for perfect icy drinks, shakes, smoothies, and the innovation that this historic brand is famous for. Usage of more frozen foods (fruit, ice cream, etc.) than liquids leads to the foods sticking to the sides of blender jars or the mixture becomes stiff (frozen) and will not flow.

Smaller than the typical contemporary blender yes, and as a result, you have to be more mindful of the weight of the fluid/product in the blades. Otherwise, it won’t blend until you do some internal adjusting. The main benefit for me is that it’s glass and I am no longer utilizing a plastic blender.Got this to blend scratch made tomato soup because a plastic jar blender might not be up to the task of holding several ounces of simmering hot broth and veggies at once. It probably won't get used too much but if you were looking for a cheap blender to do this exact thing, I can recommend it.Works great for smoothies. It’s easy to clean, has a lot of power to make smoothies and crush ice. It’s an excellent deal for the price.Bought this as a treat for myself and roommate. I was making smoothies for us using a mini-bullet but having to make 2 small servings wasn't cutting it, ntm it handled ice/frozen food poorly so I needed an upgrade. This blender works wonderfully only issue I have is the noise level (very loud).I only use mine for frozen fruit smoothies and it works better than most I've tried.Came without a lid, Amazon refunded me the difference so I could buy a lid. Been working fine ever since.has been used for smoothies. The lid is very hard to get off. I would have preferred the kind that is just placed on rather then this type of lid.its loud but its a blender. kid loves it to make smoothies.I had to wait a while for this to get to me but once I got it I was very pleased. The container is made of very heavy glass which I like because I can see the ingredients inside. I like the spout that helps me not to drip all over the place. I have been using mine mainly to make smoothies and slushies. I like how it crushes the ice cubes and frozen fruit to the right consistency to make the slushies. It is very easy to clean and to use. I have tried all the 14 different speeds yet but will eventually. I am very happy with my purchase.I needed a blender for smoothies as my Magic Bullet wasn't big enough for some of my recipes. I didn't want to spend more than $100 and definitely not $600 on a VitaMix and was beginning to despair when I stumbled across this product. It was exactly what I wanted at a very good price - $50. It does exactly what it says it does. Makes great smoothies. I love the wave action and the ice crushing capabilities. Definitely recommended.I took off 1 star for noisiness and 1 star for unable to blend frozen fruits well to make a smoothie. I bought this blender exactly for making smoothie but was disappointed by its performance. I had to stop several times to stir up the fruits to help the blending. I added 1 cup of almond milk to 2 cups of frozen fruits. Maybe I am doing this wrong?First off it's way smaller than I thought. That's on me, I should've done better research. Best fit would be a blender for one unless you both have really small drinks. It does suck down towards the blade, as long as it's not thick. My mixture with spinach, yogurt and frozen fruits would just hang there, I would have to open it open and get it moving again myself with a spoon. Same thing with the easy pour lid. If it's a thick smoothie, you're going to have a mess. By the time I tipped it enough to get it to come out, it was leaking out the original spout as well. It also sounds right out of the box like the blades need oil, it's like nails on a chalkboard. It will do for now, but I can't wait to replace it. If it's for a single person and your like your smoothies thin like juice and prepare it to be that way you should be fine. Otherwise I would steer clear.
