Full disclosure, I’ve not used industrial, super fancy, expensive blenders. But as standard household blenders go, this is definitely the best. I only recently bought this one to replace an older model of the same blender, which only started showing some age after I used it one to two times per day for over five years. I use it to grind up hard foods like almonds in smoothies all the time and it works great. Two things you want to keep in mind:1. You really need to completely disassemble the blade and glass assembly to wash it after every use (not just rinse the whole thing) to keep it working well for longer. It’s not that big of a deal and it makes a huge difference in its lifespan.2. When you need to replace the blade, which I’ve only had to do after 3 or 4 years of use, be sure to buy the Oster brand blade. I tried an off brand replacement and there was a noticeable difference, which likely put some extra wear and tear on the motor.
