Fits the blender perfectly and works perfectly. It's just the same height as the one-quart jar, so the blender with jar fits into the same space as the blender with the one-quart jar. I bought this jar because I often blend something that overflows my one-quart jar, but the two-quart jar is just too high to fit under my overhead cabinets; this one fits perfectly. Like all Vitamix products, I expect it to be very durable. The Vitamix is a high-powered machine, so I didn't want to try any of the knockoffs that are for sale on Amazon. Yes, they're cheaper, but I don't want to have the thing break or wear out on me.
